Following effective Iranian defensive actions and new IRGC warnings targeting Israeli-occupied territories, the U.S. orders immediate evacuation of Americans from Tehran and accelerates troop and naval deployments to the Middle East amid rising tensions.

In recent days, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has demonstrated significant defensive capabilities against Israeli aggression, including the reported downing of an Israeli F-35 fighter jet over Tabriz, northwest Iran. Iranian officials have declared that their air defenses have reached a level where “no one will dare challenge us,” signaling a robust deterrent against further attacks.

Building on this momentum, the IRGC issued a stark warning to Israeli-occupied territories, announcing that in the coming hours it will carry out focused defense operations against these areas in retaliation for direct Israeli aggression against civilian zones in Iran.

The IRGC declared that every city, installation, or center within the occupied lands will be considered a legitimate military target and called for immediate evacuation of these areas.

Against this backdrop of effective Iranian defense and escalating rhetoric, U.S. President Donald Trump has called for the immediate evacuation of all American citizens from Tehran. Speaking at the G7 summit in Canada, Trump lamented Iran’s failure to sign the nuclear deal within the deadline he set and emphasized that “everyone should evacuate Tehran immediately.”

Trump’s decision may be influenced not only by the deteriorating security situation but also by the IRGC’s recent statements and military posture, which suggest an intensification of hostilities that could endanger foreign nationals in the region.

In response to the heightened threat environment, the Pentagon is fast-tracking the deployment of additional forces to the Middle East. This includes sending the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier strike group, currently in Asia, to join the USS Carl Vinson group already operating in the region. The arrival of the Nimitz within the next week will significantly bolster U.S. naval power amid ongoing Iran-Israel confrontations.

Moreover, increased numbers of aerial refueling tankers and other support aircraft have been deployed to sustain extended air operations.

The military escalation coincides with the collapse of the latest round of nuclear negotiations, which Iran accuses Israel of sabotaging through unprovoked attacks. Tehran insists its nuclear program is peaceful and has expressed willingness to continue talks under conditions that exclude active U.S. military involvement in Israeli operations.

Despite Trump’s assertion that “Iran is not winning this war,” the conflict has already resulted in hundreds of casualties on both sides, with Iran warning of even more severe responses if aggression continues.

The IRGC’s call for evacuation of Israeli-occupied cities signals a potential intensification of attacks, raising concerns about civilian safety and the risk of wider conflict. The U.S. evacuation order for its citizens in Iran and the surge in military deployments reflect the gravity of the situation and the possibility of further escalation.
